    Jeans Sofa

    jean sofa

A new way of recycling? Could this be considered ‘Green’? Apparently there is a company in Japan that can take 3 pairs of jeans and turn it into a small sofa for you. The price? about $400. Recycling surely is expensive. :p

The Japanese have way too much time on their hands. They just came out w/ jeans that have the underwear sown on the inside. Pure insanity!

King Story (Project O) – Video Game

    king story wii game

Ousama Monogatari (King Story) casts the player as a boy named Corobo Bread who, thanks to a magical crown, becomes the king of a growing, obedient village.

Villagers follow you around and follow your orders; as you gather more villagers, you have the ability to issue more orders, and you can add more buildings and amenities to your village. Your villagers must also fight monsters at your command.

    (nintendowiifanboy)

This video game really looks fun. It looks like some sort of real time strategy video game with life simulation. This upcoming video game receives so much publicity because of the people involved in its production. And they are Hideo Minaba (art director on Final Fantasy XII), Kazuyuki Kurashima (designer of Moon and Endnesia), Youichi Kawaguchi (main programmer on Dragon Quest VIII) and Yoshirou Kimura (Moon, Chulip).

Anyways, what are some of the games you guys are waiting for?

Haha it looks innovative and goofy. I will take a wait and see approach to this one…

    • Magnetic 8:28 am on April 10, 2008 Permalink | Reply

Yes the game looks fun. However I am afraid Ousama Monogatari (and other interesting projects) may stay outshined by the real time strategies like starcraft (1/2?) and other monstrous. At least in Korea.

    • aoc gold 4:52 am on June 16, 2008 Permalink | Reply

With developers that include game gods Hideo Minaba, Kazuyuki Kurashima, Youichi Kawaguchi, and Yoshirou Kimura, we can only be sure that this is going to be one great game. And who can ever resist a combination of RTS and life simulation?

But I have to agree with Magnetic, this game will have to contend with the game juggernaut Starcraft…

Looks mildly interesting, still waiting for starcraft II though.

Ann Curry of the Today Show

ann curry anchor today show japanese

I was watching the Today show and wondered who she was. Well, I always knew she was a Japanese descent but never was anymore curious than that until today. So I digged up her bio and decided to make a post about it since she is an Asian celebrity. Enjoy.

Ann Curry (born November 19, 1956) is a news anchor on NBC’s morning television program Today since May 1997 and host of Dateline NBC since May 2005.

Curry was born in Guam to a Japanese mother and a father of predominantly French and Scots-Irish descent from Pueblo, Colorado. Her American father, a career Navy man,[1] met her Japanese mother during the U.S. occupation of Japan following the Second World War. The U.S. military did not initially allow the marriage, but her father returned to Japan two years later to marry his bride.

Curry was raised in San Diego and Alameda, California; Japan; Virginia Beach, Virginia and Ashland, Oregon where she graduated from Ashland High School . In 1978, she graduated with a BA Journalism from University of Oregon.[2]

She is married to software executive Brian Ross whom she met in college. They have a daughter, McKenzie and a son, Walker. The family lives in Gramercy Park neighborhood of New York City.

Wow she’s beautiful! Despite she’s quite old (born in 1956) she looks as if she’s 16 now! I liked th photos. The only thing I wonder about is why did you set Popularity: 1% to this post, i think she deserves much higher rank!
