    Chinese: 親愛的
    Year: 2008
    Director: Patrick Kong (Yip Lim-Sum)
    Writer: Patrick Kong (Yip Lim-Sum)
Cast: Alice Tzeng, Andy On Chi-Kit, Miki Yeung Oi-Gan, Kelvin Kwan Chor-Yiu, Siu Fei, Wong Ka-Lok, Regen Cheung, Crystal Cheung, Winkie Lai, Vivian Yeo

According to the review on lovehkfilm, the movie is “poorly-directed motion picture that’s more annoying than it is successful.” You can read the review at lovehkfilm.com. But I am a sucker for Asian horror flicks. :) Has anyone watched this yet?

Danny Pang’s New Horror Film ‘In Love with the Dead’

Danny Pang’s New Horror Film ‘In Love with the Dead’

A half-romance, half-horror movie directed by Hong Kong-based filmmaker Danny Pang opened in theaters on the Chinese mainland on Tuesday.

“In Love with the Dead,” starring Shawn Yue and Stephy Tang, continues Pang’s unique style in a chilling, yet thought-provoking, thriller.

In the film, a young female cancer patient (Stephy Tang) and her partner (Shawn Yue) experience supernatural occurrences after their love fails.

Director Danny Pang and his brother Oxide established the Pang Brothers, which produced the 2002 hit horror film “The Eye.” The film has since inspired a Hollywood remake.

First of all, I didn’t even notice that creepy hand until couple of seconds later. Did you notice that at all? I know there are so many movies out there with a similar story line. But I like these kind of movies.

This reminds me of Rob Zomby (the American rock star) who is always making horror movies. It’s like halloween at his house everyday – you can even hear it in his heavy metal songs!

I want to see this move – I bet it is good!

I love Danny Pang Films. But I have to say that Shawn Yue and Stephy Tang give such strong performances it really makes this film.

Li and Fang are Banned Film Making

    *source varietyasiaonline.com

China’s censors have banned the makers of the steamy “Lost in Beijing” for screening an unapproved version of the pic at the Berlinale last year and for obscenity, the latest in a litany of controversies to dog the project.

I don’t know which picture they are talking about as I could only find the following picture. I doubt that this one is it because it’s just a picture of a girl leaning on guy’s back. Anyone know the picture they are talking about? Now I want to find and watch this movie. As I have stated before, controversies are a good way to promote a movie.

I don’t think that banning Home Rss Asian Drama Asian Movie Asian Music Li and Fang from will ever help the non-democratic countries. Any art, whether it film making, music, lyrics or paiting – needs state support but if there’s none they all will turn backwards against the tyrany.
China’s censors have shown their impatience not the first time. This time banning the makers of the steamy “Lost in Beijing” for screening an unapproved version of the pic at the Berlinale last year and for obscenity, the latest in a litany of controversies to dog the project – they express their unrespect to all film makers.

I do know the film that caused that And surely it’s not he one with just a picture of a girl leaning on guy’s back. I’ve found and recalled this movie. And controversies are a bad way to promote a country
