A Tale of Two Sisters Remake – The Uninvited

    uninvited-tale-two-sister

If you are a fan of Asian horror movies or any Asian movies in general, you should have seen the Korean horror flick called ‘A Tale of Two Sisters’. (If not please watch the trailer below). Well, it is getting remade in US and being called ‘The Uninvited’. I have to admit that it has been a while since I watched the Tale of Two Sisters, but the new US movie doesn’t seem to follow to the story. Well I will be able to tell exactly when I watch the movie soon. So for now, enjoy the two trailers.

A tale of two sisters was just amazing movie. Which released in 1989 and the director was Adam Rifkin. Charlie Sheen was the writer of story. Two sisters reunite after not having seen each other for five years. While catching up on each others’ lives, they relive childhood experiences, both good and Bad

Haha, I just love how some of the subtitles have absolutely nothing to do with what they’re saying.

I have to admit though, hollywood remakes are often less scarier than the original.

A Tale of Two Sisters is the best Asian movie I’ve ever seen. The story is very compelling and hair raising. I have goose bumps when I’d watched it. I can’t wait it to be on the big screen again, especially now that it would be produced by hollywood giants. For sure this movie will be a great hit.

I love Asian horror moviesbut the hollywood versions can never compare to them. The hollywood version are good but I belive the cultural difference is what gives the original version that extra edge.

A Man Once a Superman OST (Jeon Ji Hyun movie)

A Man Once a Superman (슈퍼맨이었던 사나이)

I can’t wait to watch this movie. I miss Jeon Ji Hyun. Just by watching this preview, the main character looks to be insane or something. Or maybe that’s just what the director wanted us to think. Either way I hope this movie starts soon.

    • AzureWolf 11:10 am on January 28, 2008 Permalink | Reply

I am not sure, but I think I heard of this movie. The main guy is a mentally-ill (not retarded, just sort of bonkers) guy who believes he is Superman. However, he says he lost his powers because there is a lot of kryptonite around. Jeon Ji Hyun, a journalist, wants to profile him after he saves her.

I do not think I will see this. These types of movies, although great, tend to have a sad ending. No thank you, haha.

    • Scott 1:22 pm on July 27, 2008 Permalink | Reply

The male lead is not mentally-ill..he’s just an overzealous good samaritan who’s always going around to help people.A warm-hearted story of how his acts and heart transformed the cold, frosty ji hyun,a documentary journalist, into someone like himself. He might have made some claims that he was superman but some acts might be due to the bullet, and not kryptonite,in his head. Can’t wait for the movie to be released in spore

    • Sid 8:54 am on August 13, 2008 Permalink | Reply

I’ll read the reviews on this movie before I decide. It might be worth watching, depending on the quality of the acting. The story does seem interesting.
