Don’t judge too quickly. There are so many fine looking girl groups in Korea who can’t sing to save their lives. 
After the LA concert got cancelled, Korean singer Rain (비) stated that he was very sorry that this happened and it was due to the local US promoters not getting the stage (Staples Center) ready on time. No matter what really happened, this makes him look stupid. I don’t like him as a singer but as an actor I think he’s good. He recently landed a part in a upcoming Hollywood movie, ‘Speed Racer‘ which will be directed by the Wachowski brothers. Even after the concert disaster, I don’t think that Rain is going anywhere.

a girl can look sexy without taking off her cloth.. Her facial expression make her look sexy… of course with a fine body shape is an bonus to make a girl look more attractive. Some girl can look healthy in bikini. Is the way the photographer present the picture…
That’s what i mean, some of the pictures show her as a sex icon… For a female, its a sad thing. She has the look and the figure, don’t really think she need to put herself as a sex icon…

Maybe she really wanna to enter the “entertainment” business, so she tried her best which make her portrayed herself as the ’sex’ symbol.
As a female, i’m quite sad to know that. Is there a need for female to be like this? Maybe i’m too conservative :p haha…

Usually, with these very young girls starting out at such a young age, the direction and mode of their career choices are in the hands of managers and agents long before they reach a maturity whereby they can wrestle the control for themselves.
Lim Ji-Hye has done very well.
I think you have to understand the business of a Racing Queen or fashion promotional model. They need to present themselves not only to the public as attractive and to promote goods for companies,they also have to create and maintain a high profile for scouts, other agencies and company representatives who will be eager to engage them for further work.
So, saying that it is she, herself who wants to direct her career to being more akin to a sex model is a bit naive. I think you have to have some understanding as to how her industry works and how she is able to secure future work and keeps her profile high there for prospective employment opportunities.

I completely agree with you. Woman can be sexy without taking off her clothes or taking racy pictures.
But my point was about this particular model. A woman posing in those positions and being in maxim, I am very sure that she wanted to be portrayed as a sex symbol.

is there a need for someone to do this? I don’t think so. but there are tons of demand for this type of modeling job. Many women do not even think twice about posing like this because this can be a stepping stone for a successful career.
