Korean Heating Floors - Ondol
Mar 28th, 2008 | By andy | Category: MISCOndol, or “warm stone” has been used by Koreans since the fourth century B.C. and heats homes by the flow of hot air under the floor. Recently, heated air has been changed to heated water that flows through a series of pipes under the home.
The radiant heat generated in this manner reduces energy use and is more comfortable than conventional Western systems that directly heat the air by using fireplaces and stoves.
I’m so happy that this technology is becoming so popular now. It feels soooooo nice to step into a house with warm floors. I am starting to hate this central air heating that I currently have but it seems like I will have an alternative soon.

That’s a good alternative to save energy..and save the environment as well..
YES! I think it is such a big improvement both health and heat-wise when the floor fells warm and welcoming!
Although I have mostly carpeted floors, hehe.
