Richard Gere Cannot be Arrested

India courts have lifted Richard Gere’s warrant for arrest which started back in April of 2007 when Gere kissed Shilpa Shetty.

Gere should have known better to respect other country’s culture but this whole arrest thing was stupid as well.

Almost a year later, Mr. Gere’s warrant was protested all the way to India’s Supreme Court, which ruled in his favor. “Gere is allowed to come and leave,” Anil Grover, an attorney for Ms. Shetty, told The Associated Press. “He can’t be arrested.”

Now that the threat is removed, Mr. Gere is free to pursue his philanthropic efforts in the country. He’s met the Dalai Lama several times in India to show support for Tibet and promoted AIDS awareness and other health issues there over the years.

I agree with Mike who in the world is this lady and it is pretty ridiculous for being put in jail for this. Funny thing is why the heck did this go all the way to India’s supreme court?
