Kia SOUL Goes After Scion xB
The SOUL is obviously taking aim at the Scion xB, which took the two-box design to literal levels. This new image gives us the full-frontal treatment of the new Kia people-mover, with a fascia that mixes sportiness with an upright demeanor. It’s not bad, although the pseudo-tribal graphics are so 1996. But the raked windshield and shortened D-pillar make it stand out a bit more than the xB from which it finds inspiration.
Wow. What an ugly looking car. I was never into the whole boxy car trend but I guess Korean auto manufacturer Kia wants to go into that direction. Do you like the way this Kia looks?

Personally, I like it
Like the new xB, it’s not too boxy. I’d ax the graphics tho

That thing looks like it’s been Photoshopped, haha. I like the black coating, but everything else, the black stripes, the red, and especially the design are god-awful.

Soul targets the younger buyers most every automaker covets, especially in styling that’s part “Transformers,” part iPhone. Factor in Kia’s fast-improving brand image, plus affordability and likely good fuel thrift, and this could be a gotta-have ride to rival the Mini Cooper or Scion xB. Imagine saying that about a Kia! Thanks for sharing this great article

The SOul has just went on sale in the Stateas and it is selling great so far. It’s a nice looking vehicle and should attract lots of new people with it’s styling, affordable pricing and warranty.

I agree that it does look boxy. But ditching the red lining and that design, it could actually look good.

I also agree. It also looks boxy although it’s still cute and it’s also curvy which makes up for the boxy figure.
