korea movie sex is zero

So someone made the second movie in the Sex is Zero (색즉시공)series. I have to admit that this is going to be very stupid movie. I watched the first movie because Ha Ji Won was in it but I don’t know if I will watch this one. Do you like this kind of movie?

    1. I heard of this movie, but never saw it, for the same reason I fell asleep watching the first American Pie: not my cup o’ tea.

      Weird genre, haha.

    2. my cousin borrowed by dvd of sex is zero 1 and havent returned it since so i didnt get the chance to watch it.. i bought the dvd because im trying to collect ha ji won movies and series.. and since i like song ji hyo, i might end up getting its dvd again…

american pie movies didnt really appeal to me.. i got to watch them coz they were also all hyped…

but hopefully i will find its korean version better and funnier… i also like the humor in korean movies…

    3. I also watched the first one primarily because it has Ha Ji-won in it. It had its moments, but overall it’s just gross, and very childish…even Dumb and Dumber was more sophisticated! I won’t be bothering to watch the second, it just looks like more of the same.

It was a bit risque when it the first one came out in 2002, which is what made people go out and see it, but its very tame compared to what you can see 24/7 on TV in Korea now, let alone in R19 movies at the cinema.

Korean humour in general is VERY slapstick, about 40 years behind UK and American humour at least (think “Benny Hill”). It’s strange for rapidly-developing Korea to be so far behind, but in case Korea’s decades of military dictatorships are to blame, preventing the development of paticularly political satire. It’s still very rare for public figures to be blatantly made fun of here, but that is a huge component of Western comedy.

    4. I haven’t watched the first movie yet, but have been meaning to check it out for a while. Thanks for reminding me!

    5. nice

    6. thanks
