I knew Porsche had some stake in Volkswagen(VW) but now they want control? Good luck Porsche.

HID Conversion: I doubt a merger would have much difference to the VW range. The only realy vehicles that may have benefitted would have been the VW Toureg as the company mainly doesnt offer top end cars. Porsche on the other hand my have got a good secure backer out of it. They may even got some design tips as Porsche don’t seem to know how to design a different shaped car body.

I don’t see this happening, or at least Porsche taking over complete control of the VW line as it seems to be fairly successful on it’s own.

$47 billion loan. Where exactly do you get a $47 Billion loan in this current economic climate? Have we learnt nothing over the past few years?
